Modern Day Disney Princesses

The Disney Princesses get a new modern 2010 wardrobe ... so who's surprised Mulan's is my favorite? No one? Great. Cinderella comes in a close second.

One in the Same?

I had a random revelation yesterday. This mainly stems from the fact that I can't stop thinking about how good HP7 was and I just want to watch it over and over again. That and my love for Gaga.

Anyways, what are our thoughts on Luna 'HBIC' Lovegood being a young Lady Gaga?? Exhibit A:

YES OR YES?

Bubble Mania

I can't even begin to understand how this works, but it's friggin awesome. Some smarty pants engineers in Germany created this awesome bubble machine. How do I get a hold of one of these? Can you imagine this item being in a day care? The kids would go nuts - go ape S#!t!

The Neverending Controversy

As most of you know, I grew up in western New York. Growing up, I always said 'pop'. It wasn't until I went to college in Boston that my usage of 'pop' was looked at as weird. From then on, I made it a habit to call it 'soda', because frankly, everyone else was doing it.

This map pretty much shows exactly my conclusion on the 'pop vs. soda' debacle. 'Coke' has always been the word down south, no matter what kind of soft drink it is, it's always been 'Coke'. Rochesterians have always been known to have almost a midwestern accent, and the use of pop is no different. As you can see, pretty much from Rochester through the midwest and to the West Coast of Seattle, 'pop' is the commonly used name. However, in Boston, where I adopted the new term, 'soda' is more prevalent, including my current residency in California.

Which side do you take on this one? And let's be honest, does it really even matter? (I don't even drink 'Coke'...)

For My Wino Friends

Self-serve wine tanks could be hitting American supermarkets within a year. These 500 and 1,000 liter mechanical kegs dispense wine into whatever container the shopper brings with them.

By getting rid of the packaging, the wine can be shipped much cheaper. The savings get passed on to you with lower prices, and supposedly the wine tastes pretty good too.
